Cockscomb Wildlife Basin Jaguar Preserve Tubing & Waterfall Hike

Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve is home to over 3000 jaguars in the wild. Located 20 minutes off the Southern Highway, the ride takes you along rich rainforest trails, sighting includes foxes, wild pigs, tapir and jaguars. On February 26, 1986, the 150 square miles basin was declared a Wildlife Sanctuary. Tubing the river at a slow pace gives you the advantage of spotting howler monkeys, tropical birds, iguanas and rich flora and fauna. Once the tubing in completed, you will take a hike of about 30 minutes to any of the waterfalls in the area. Sit back under the shade of the rainforest and enjoy the sound of the water running down the falls, take a dip in the refreshing clear water and enjoy a swim in the private pools.  A short hike takes you back to the main entrance of the park.
